Win 7 Comms Instability
I am running a "legal" build 7000 on a dual boot XP SP3 laptop. The following symptoms are apparent:pect marginal 1. Wireless networking to my in-house router works sometimes and not other times. I can deduce no logical pattern between these two states 2 I also run a GPRS wireless dongle. It frequently fails to properly load the dongle when I connect the dongle's - other times it is perfect. Again no apparent pattern to these events 3. When the GPRS dongle is connected it is very susceptible to dropping out and failing to permit a restart. I have not captured the error message but will do so next time In all above cases under XP I experience no problems. I suspect marginal driver compatability problems. Happy to collect diagnostics if someone suggests what I should be capturing Does anyone else experience similar issues? Cheers Roger

There is no substitute for working drivers in Windows. You would have to wait for the maker of the device to create a compatible driver for Win 7.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP
