Win 7 Home/Work vs Public Network problem
Our Active Network changes from Work to Public and it is not hyper linked when it does so, so it can't be changed. How does one change back to a Work Network? Are there some limits/issues with the Home/Work Network that is causing this.

Hi, Home network, work network and public network are different with some security settings like firewall. More details you can refer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Choosing-a-network-location Please try to disable Network adapter, and enable it again to see the result. If the issue persists, try to perform a system restore for test. Hope that helps. Is it possible that Win 7 Home Premium will only allow a certain number of computers in a Workgroup before it forces the computers to a Public Network. If so what is that number? It seems that if we only turn on a couple of machines on the network we can set the Network to Work but once the full network is up and running the computers revert to Public Network. Any ideas??GV Rick

Home Premium is designed to share with a maximum of five other computers.
