Win 7 Total Security Alert bombards my computer useless
I am away from my home for last week and this week and got yesterday got an e-mail that a UPS tried to deliver something to me and was returning it to sender. Now I am a person who DOES NOT EVER open e-mails unnessessarily. But this one
got me hook, line, and sinker. Once I opened it The massive amount of Windows opening up on my computer is a relitively very short time was incredible. At first I was not concerned I just figured it was a pop-up and I would get rid of it.
When in the begining I could not get rid of it I went to "Programs and features" to see if anything had gotten installed. but nothing was there.
For the next 1 hour, at least, I tried to get rid of the windows which all led back to one thing, PURCHASE WIN7 TOTAL SECURITY" and download the software. Then they could get rid of the 26 files that were infected and I cold go happily on my way.
This is everything that went on. I tried to open my browser IE and AOL and they would immediatly close and Win 7 TOTAL SECURITY said that they closed due to infestation. It said my personal files
could be comprimised, the my personal information
could be being used. Just everything a spyware, malware, or virus was capable of doing. It listed the files infected and I have to say most of them didn't exsist any longer or were not files I would
not be using. They were files from previous pergrams installed and just useless files.
I have installed Norton Internet Security through Comcast Cable and I went to the History and for sure from the time I opened that e-mail to the time I was acually looking at the results there were things that had been blocked left and right.
It showed where IE was shut down. It show where it blocked IP addresses, etc. etc. So I knew that something had happened.but that my security had been working hard for me.
Win 7 TOTAL SECURITY only wanted me to buy the software but wanted me to pay by credit card after it just told me that things could me comprimised. I thought that was conflicting. So I am asking if anyone knows of this or if they heard
of this. My computer is rendered useless even as we speak. I am using a different laptop to write this. Below I will list as many detail that could help somebody help me that I can remember about my computer without turning it on. Also
my intensions are to wipe my computer clean and clean instal Window 7 by disc. so someone may have a comment on that. thank you
Windows 7 Home Premiun (64bit) SP1, IE8, HP G60-530US Notebook PC, Pentium Dual Core CPU T4300, 2.2 GHz,
I had to turn on my computer and it is still doing the same thing.Thank you again Lainie blum
Hope you can help me

Download the free version of any anti-malware software or simply this one.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
Download it, update the definition file and scan with it. It will delete it. If that still doesn't help, you can manually remove the Win 7 TOTAL SECURITY by referring this link

Boot the computer into Safe Mode by Pressing F8 during boot time.
When into Safe Mode the computer should be fairly useable (in cases I have dealt with)
Run MSConfig.exe and checkout the startup tab. Going through the list of startup applications you should be able to notice things that do not look right. Uncheck these, sometimes the location will be the giveaway.
In Safe mode you should be able to do a DiskCleanup and other cleanup tasks. Some software such as the one mentioned above can run in Safe Mode and help clean the system
Hope these basic things can helpLee Bowman MCITP MCTS

Definitely,
I am Allan, am a computer tech and am so happy to work with new variant of spyware issues,
Win7 total security, windows xp antispyware, windows xp security 2010/2011/2012, windows vista antispyware 2011 and Win 7 antispyware
2011/2012 are all the same.
the source file is a random alphabet .exe file, most of the antiviruses are able to detect and remove it usually, but they are failed to remove the registry values, we need to remove those nasty registry entries manually
pw.exe MSASCui.exe
Delete registry values:

I have just been infected by the Win 7 Total Security 2012 virus and have managed to remove it using Malawarebytes Anti Malware software - which fortunately I already had loaded on my computer. I firstly did a restore but that didn't work, then I tried
to click on the Anti Malware desktop icon - that didn't work as the virus blocked all use of desktop icons. What I had to do was right click the Anto Malware icon and select "Run as Administrator" which opened the program and enabled me to run it. The program
very quickly (Quick scan option) found the offending malware and enabled me to remove it - including rebooting to totally eliminate it!
I am surprised that the virus got access to my computer as I have MSE, windows firewall and AdAware in active, real time modes!!
