Win 7 backup to usb connected hard drive
Will it be possible to direct a backup file to a folder on a USB connected hard drive? The RC backup as far as I can tell does not allow specifying a folder for writing back ups.

The backup will create its own folder so there is no need to create one.Carey Frisch

By setting up a network share you could back up to a specific folder in a round about way by backing up to the shared folders network location. However only Windows 7 Professional or higher allow backing up to a network-based location.

As you said, we cannot direct to a folder. This is to help system find the file. Actually it will request a blank USB device when we trying to save backup file: If you prefer save it to a folder, we can perform a backup on local drive and move it to a folder on USB device. Please remember move it back when we would like to restore files.
