Win 7 dropping Skype when I use video
I have used other versions of Skype with no problems, even with Win 7. Recently every time I start a Skype call with video it knocks out my internet connection. I have change firewall settings to "allow" Sype. Using Vista and the same network I have no problems.

Do you mean the network connection or Internet connection disconnected when the issue occurs? To resolve this issue, I suggest you reinstall the driver for the network adapter. Make sure that the downloaded adapter driver is Windows 7 compatible. If it does not work, please temporary disable firewall and antivirus then check the result again. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. I am having the same problem. I'm running Windows 7. While using Skype video the Internet connections drops momentarily. This seems to happen after using Skype for about 15 - 20 minutes. The problem started about 24 hours ago. I have made no changes to my PC, my router or my cable modem. I have not installed any new software either. The peroblem just started happening. Very weird. I am using the FreeTalk HD Skype camera. It not only seems rto disrupt my Internet connection on my main PC but also on the other PC's I have connected via my router. I have, of xcourse, rebooted my router and checked it's settings. I have made no changes to it. Maybe the router is having a problem? It's less than 2 months old. Maybe I should return it to Best Buy and get another one.

Gmail account has "call phone" plugin you can add to dial landlines, cell phones. I have not tried it with cam 'cause, do not have one. This is free for U.S. & Canada destinations.
