Window 7 Start-up fail
Got this refurbished laptop yesterday. and the start-up has already crashed help? Specs : DELL Inspiron 1545 Refurbished Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core T4400 2.2 GHz OS: Window 7 Home Premium 64-bit So, when I press the power button, Dell logo loaded without a problem. but then a black screen just came up with a flashing which dash and Window 7 wouldn't start up. What are they solutions?

Thank you for your reply. My laptop is a refurbished one so I dont think Dell will deal with it. I'll try running the Window disc. thanks!

Does it do anything after the flashing curser? If they gave you a windows reinstallation disc with it, you could try running that. But if you only got it yesterday you should phone dell, sometimes it can be difficult talking to support over the phone but you can get good advice which solves your problem, and if they dont solve it over the phone they wont just leave it there, they will probably send you a replacement or at the very least send out an engineer with parts to have a look at it for you. I think if you only recieved it yesterday then they will most likely send out a replacement laptop.

Hi, You may try to press F8 before the flashing cursor, then choose the last known good configuration. Refurbished laptops usually come with at least a 30 day warranty. call your supplier. Jerry
