WindowsInstallerFail
i attempted to download and install Adobe Air on my WindowsXP for a specific online application. the install failed even tho i tried several times. Ever since that happened, my adobe acrobat seems to have missing or crashing plugins no matter how many times i try to fix them on that site. ok, my Windows problem is that since then, i get an error message every time i try to install or update something that uses the Windows Installer, including automatic updates, such as java. Here is the error mesage i received when i tried to let microsoft fix it on support page.: The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode or if The Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance. I get a similar message upon a failed install. I tried to restart it thru Services and got this message: Could not start The Windows Installer service on local computer. Error 3: The system cannot find the path specified. I would appreciate any help from you as i am SO not a geek, lol. thank you.1 person needs an answerI do too
