Windows 7, Server 2003 and SATA/SAS Drivers
Hi everyone, I'm playing on installing Windows 7 on a HP xw8400 workstation and just wanted to know if there are any problems with Windows 7 conntecting to Server 2003 and also if it contains (unlike XP) the drivers for SATA/SAS drives? Thank you

1. Windows 7 client can join Windows 2003 Server AD domain. 2. Based on my knowledge, not all drivers for SATA drive are included in Windows 7. For some of the drives, it may prompt you to download the driver via their manufacturer's website. For some hardware, you may need to upgrade it's bios, otherwise you'll need to choose IDE compatability mode. Hope this helps! Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
