Windows 7 & the current RC
BOTTOMLINE: Is the current RC and Windows 7 the same?I tried usingRC this past winter and had to discontinue/uninstall it b/c my system acted up. Should I try again w/ the current RC? I'm thinking the current RC should match theWindows 7 is in manufacturing, right? If so I assumethey worked out the bugs in RC?

Veerbal - Wait a sec... You said you tried the RC this past winter? That would be kind if difficult given it wasn't released to MSDN/Technet until the end of April or on May 5th for the rest of the world - and that's Spring in the northern hemisphere. You may be thinking of the Windows 7 BETA which was released in mid January. At any rate... There was only one RC - build 7100 - and that can still be downloaded from Microsoft until August 20th. Per the documentation that was released with the RC, it indeed is supposed to be a LOT like the RTM version just released. Of course, the purpose of the RC is to find any lingering bugs so they can get fixed prior to release. So, yes, it should look and feel just like the final product. Of course, the RC is likely to have a few bugs that should have been fixed in the final version. YMMV...
