Windows 7 64 bit Network Connection Issue
I have a machine running Windows 7 64 bit. When I boot up the machine the internet works fine on Firefox and IE 8, however after about 3-4 hours the browsers no longer display web page content its as if the page is trying to load but all that happens is
that a blank screen is displayed.
I know its unlikey to be the router because A: I have two laptops also using the same connection and they are fine (physical & wireless) and B: i used to run 32 bit Windows 7 on the same hardware and it was fine.
I've had a look at various 'fixes' i.e. update the network drivers, prevent machine from sending hardware to sleep etc but none have worked..
Any ideas anyone, please help......thanks.

What is the value you have for
KeepAliveTimeout under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings

Hi, the KeepAliveTimeout is a default value of 60 seconds, however that particular key is not in the registry on my machine as it needs to be added manually.
I'll add the key and see what happens.

Hi, no that didn't work I still have the same issue. The browser just stalls when loading sites - it states in the bottom left "connecting to ...." but never displays content. The network connection icon states that I have internet access and I can ping
websites so there's obviously some connectivity and name resolution going on. Help....
