Windows 7 64bit boot issue
Basically... windows won't start up when I boot, so it goes to the fixing screen trying to repair it automatically,
which it can't; then I manually choose an earlier point to restore it at and it works; boots fine and runs ok, etc. However, as soon as I turn the pc off and back on I have the same issue again and it won't boot windows.
I looked on the pending software updates when I did it last and it's just windows and microsoft
stuff, only 4 updates. But regardless of that, there's nothing I can do to stop them updating when I turn off and thus having the same problem every time I use the computer?
Edit: I think it could be a driver issue, but I cannot restore to a point before I installed
it.

Go to Windows Updates look at the offered updates, and hide them for the moment.
Go to the Update History what error messages are given?

Hi,
It seems this is related to the pending update, try to boot into Safe Mode, and clear the content of folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.
Then restart computer to check how it works.
