Windows 7 64bit wireless PCI card enabled then restart takes for ever
Hi:
I recently installed a wireless PIC card Netgear WG311T (recently moved thus not able to get wired access to router) on my desktop which has been running Windows 7 64 bit for months without problem.
When I installed the wireless card the very first time, it looked OK, automatically installed the driver and I managed to have it connected to my router. Unfortunately it just got stuck on the Starting Windows screen when I tried to restart my machine. I had to enter Win 7 in Safe Mode and disable wireless card then restarted the machine again in normal mode. Everything was back to normal. But if I enabled the wireless card again, the same issue happened - Windows stuck on Starting Windows screen for ever. I tried many times and can always replicate the same issue.
Enter Safe Mode -> Disable wireless card -> restart in Normal Mode always works and I can re-enable the wireless card to access internet. But if I restarted the machine with wireless card enabled it always stuck on the Starting Windows screen.
I was able to enable the boot logging with wireless card enabled and found a huge list of drivers weren't loaded, here is part of the log file:

Can someone please help me out? Thanks,

This may be a driver issue.Trying going here to get your latest PCI card driver:http://kb.netgear.com/app/products/model/a_id/2567Note that netgear does not support Vista or Windows7. 1.Try pulling out the PCI card from your computer2.Uninstall PCI card driver3.Download fresh driver from website4.Install driver5.Restart Computer6.Physically plug the PCI card back into your compute7.Restart ComputerHope this helps!Commentator2
