Windows 7 App Data Folder regarding Internet history
Hi I'm doing a project for school involving the three folders inside the App Data Folder: Local, LocalLow, Roaming. I'm trying to find out the specific purpose of each folder in regards to storing internet history. I've been unable to find a description of the specific purpose of each folder. If anyone can provide any insight into this it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Will

Thanks, definitely helpful. Any chance you know anything about these folders (or anyone else)? They seem to get pretty confusing, the Local folder containing Low folders and the cookie folder in Roaming also contains a Low folder. I'm in no way bashing Microsoft (I'd take a PC over a Mac any day)but is this just Microsoft making things confusing?
Thanks

This is not confusing. The Low folders are part of the sandboxing feature of the UAC. Applications with LowIL (IE8 when running in protected mode), can only write to this folders."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code"
