Windows 7 Back-up Chooses Wrong System Drives
I recently built a new computer with Windows 7 Professional. I have an 80GB Intel SSD and a 1TB WD hard drive, with Windows and its hidden system drive on the SSD. The 1TB hard drive is partitioned logically into a 150GB drive for backing up the SSD and the remainder going for documents and such. Initially, the Backup utility allowed me to back up the hidden Windows system drive and all of my SSD (C:) onto the 150GB hard drive partition (D:). However, after recently performing a Windows update, the back-up utility now thinks that the D: drive is a system drive, and so the utility won't allow me to back up system drives any longer because it can't backup a drive to itself. Literally the only contents of the D: drive are back-ups: I've installed no programs on that drive. Can anyone tell me how I can make the utility stop recognizing the D: drive as a system drive so I can continue using it as a full backup destination? Your help is appreciated! :)
