Windows 7 Backup - Code 0x81000010
Hello When trying to use the Backup configure utility in Windows 7, I receive the code 0x81000010 prompt telling me I need administrator rights to perform this action. I have had this issue only since I added my laptop to my company domain. It worked fine before. Obviously my account is local administrator and it should be allowed to perform these backups. I am testing Windows 7 for my company before any potential deployment. Thanks in advance for your help.

It sounds as the user has not taken the ownership of the file so i think you must follow the steps which i have mentioned below to take the ownership of the files or objects: Go to Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings --> Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment -> Take ownership of files or otherObjects. And the rest will be done. how to resolve windows 7 backup error

Thanks for your answer. Indeed I missed the post. Unfortunately it does not solve my issue although the symptoms seem to be the same. I'll continue on the post you indicated if this is still possible. Best regards.

Nothing happens http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7repair/thread/f75fb816-1bb1-40d7-9e58-1b92a663f753 Run “sdclt.exe /configure” Regards, Sabrina Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
