Windows 7 Backup UI blank after scheduled task is modified
I have configured Windows 7 backup specifying an external eSATA disk and the all of the other parameters as the defaults. The backup was working as expected. I wanted the scheduled backup task to wake my computer from sleep, so I found the task in the scheduled tasks control panel and allowed it to wake the computer. I also changed the schedule from once a week to three times a week. Now when I show the Backup control panel, the UI acts as if there is no backup task configuted. When the backup task is run from the scheduled task by clicking the run command, the Backup UI doesn't show the progress bar. How do I get it back to normal?

We can re-produce this behavior on our test computers. Maybe because in the UI we can only backup one time if we choose weekly backup. I will report this behavior to our proper department. Now you can delete thet task and re-create in UI to get it back. Arthur Xie - MSFT

Turns out that if I don't delete the task, but go ahead and reconfigure the backup, the new back up will be connected to a scheduled task that has the "wake from sleep" checkbox set- as I wanted in the first place. This is one ____-of-a-way to set a check box.
