Windows 7 Backup fails missing file msg 0x80070002 systemprofile\Videos
Hi. I read a couple of threads that seem similar, tried those things - no luck.
This is Windows 7, Home Premium, 64 Bit, 3 Gig of memory, etc. 500 Gig -
Backup drive is an external through the USB - 454 Gig., 151 G used.
Backup seems to work fine - did it twice now, with same error message.
Backup encountered a problem while backing up file C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Videos. Error:(The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)
I navigate to that spot, and sure enough, there is nothing there that says "Video".
Reading the other thread, it appears that I moved the "Video" files.
I tried opening various things, in Explorer - no luck in resolving it.
I did, at some point, try to eliminat a duplicate reference to My Videos.
May have upset the "library" stuff. I would put it back if I could figure out how.
When I open "Libraries", I see Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos.
I assume that one is the problem.
When I click on Videos, all I have is "Public Videos".
My Videos is down under Public Videos.
Music gives me Public Music and My Music.
Under "Pictures" I have My Pictures, Public Pictures, Videos (C:), and Prints (C:)
Interesting. I never have figured out what the "Libraries" thing does exactly - usually mess around with the C drive directly.
But . . . in the interests of getting rid of this message, I'll put it back, or whatever.
Thanks. Really a minor issue - I love Windows 7 compared to all of those other things you folks have generated in the past! Still not caught up to Mac, but gaining!

Have a look to this
