Windows 7 Black Screen Before Log in Need Help
Ok, so today my computer got hit by a pretty bad virus, I didn't have my old virus protection installed because it slowed down my computer alot, so i try to reinstall that, and the cd key didn't work, so i download norton 360 shut down my computer, turn it on again and run a scan, after the scanned finished it blue screened on me and shut down. Now, everytime i start my computer it asks me if i want to launch startup repair or start windows normally. When i launch startup repair, a loading bar shows up, then it goes black, then my mouse appears, and thats it, it just stays like that. If i start it up normally it is just a black screen. I have no idea whats going on.

You uninstalled it without replacing it with another? That's playing with fire. You need to run virus protection to prevent getting infected, not to remove the infection after you get it. Removing it after the fact can leave you with damage it's already done. so i download norton 360 Ugh! One of the worst available security products, in my view. shut down my computer, turn it on again and run a scan, after the scanned finished it blue screened on me and shut down. I suggest you do not launch Startup Repair and try to directly boot into Windows 7. If it boots properly please remove Norton 360. I suggest you try MSE instead. Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection Microsoft Security Essentials If the issue persists after removing Norton 360, I suggest you perform In-place Upgrade to repair the system. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
