Windows 7 Can't Print to Network Printer
I have set up two new Windows 7 PC (identical systems) and they have networked together without any problems. However, I have a network printer that is connected to a router and it will not print from PC #2 unless PC #1 is powered on. Why is this and how can it be fixed? The printer has no physical connection to PC #1. I have a third PC running XP and it prints to the network printer even when PC #1 is powered off.

Hi, Based on my understanding, this issue may be caused by the PC 2 installed the printer as a shared network printer form PC 2. Please kindly check it, try to power down the PC 2 and install the network printer directly. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
