Windows 7 DNS Query for AAAA Records
My Windows 7 Client machine is installed with both IPv4/IPv6 protocol. When my browser try to resolves a URL (which has both A record and AAAA record registered with a DNS server), will the Windows 7 Client send out a "A" record DNS query first and follow by a "AAAA" record DNS query? The following URL from Microsoft only mention about Windows Vista but nothing on Windows 7. I wonder whether the behaviour is the same for Windows 7 client and is there an official document that mention this? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727035.aspx Thank you Jock

Thanks for the info. Do you know of any article by Microsoft that mention about the DNS behaviour on Windows 7 OS? Anyone has done a network sniffing before and can share the results? Regards Jock Ann
