I have just created a domain in Ubuntu Server using Samba and when I attempt to connect to the domain it prompts me for a username and a password and when I type in the required information and press OK and it says "The following error occurred to join the domain "SCIRO": The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted." Were as on XP and VISTA it connects to the domain properly and functions correctly. What do I do?

I would recommend that you post this question on an Ubuntu forum. When windows systems join a domain, the I would tend to think that the expectation is that they are joining a Windows domain. I would also have to assume that there are variances in the domain joining process among the different operating systems. However, I wouldn't think that MS Developers would be too concerned about developing with Non MS Directory services in mind with regard to the domain joining process..
