Windows 7 Domain Permissions Issue
I've had this happen on a couple PC's so far... Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. The PC is setup fine. As some point the domain administrative permissions are lost. Right now the only account that has full admin control is a previously setup local admin account... The local administrator account seems to also be screwed up. The domain accounts are listed in the admin group but it still says the user does not have admin right. Anyway, I've rebuilt the previous PC and I guess I'll do the same to this but just figured I'd see if anyone else has seen this issue and if there's another solution. Thanks R

Hi, If the domain accounts are listed in Administrators group, you should have full administrative privileges. Please try to use Net User command line to add a local administrator. Note: Run cmd with administrator, if you still get denied access message, this meams the account you are logging in with does not have administrative permissions. How do the domain groups get added to the local administrators group during build? Is this built into the image, via script or logon script or done via a gpo? Natrually domain admins will be added when joining the domain but do you have other groups you are referring to that members do not receive admin rights when trying to install an app?

It seems like more of a PC corruption issue... We checked the PC after build and all is well... Somewhere along the line the security database became corrupt and this issue started. I was hoping there was a supported way to reset this database. But, the PC has been set for rebuild so I can't test anything now unless I see it again. R
