On a Win 7 machine we need a program to write to the C:\ to create databases but it won't. The following error displays New File: An unexpected error is keeping you from creating the file. If you continue to receieve this error, you can use the error code to search for help with problem. Error 0x80070522: A required privilege is not held by the client. We have turned off the User Account Control and added the Domain Users to the Local Administrators group. The weird thing is this solves the problem on some Win 7 machines but not others. Was there an update the played with this?? A fresh install gets this to work, but the machines already in production just stopped working with this recently.

If you have webroot as a virus protector I have had problems connecting to the internet. I had to turn gamer mode on and then refreshed my pages and it worked. I couldn't run system restore either until I shut down webroot. I have emailed them to see if there is a problem with there software and windows 7.

Did you ever resolve this problem? I am experiencing some similar issues and need help.

We found that when the Windows 7 machine was restarted without using Flag restart command that it did not really turn of the UAC control, even though it did. You have to restart the PC from this flag command and it would resolve the issue. THis is kind off an odd setup because you would think that you would turn it off that it would set it self the next time you rebooted but it won't. It HAS to be done from with in the FLAG command.
