Windows 7 Networking, Wireless and wired.
Hello, I am trying to set up two computers wired. Only one has the wireless card to connect to the router. The two computers are connected via Ethernet cable from system to system. The one computer can connect to the wireless, but I can't seem to give access to the other computer that is lanned. Any help would be great. Thank you. Ryan

Do you want to share the wireless connection with the other computer? Using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) If it does not work, suggest that you turn off DHCP in the router. Then check IPv4 settings on both computers. Please manually set the IP address of the peer to peer connection on Windows 7 computer to 192.168.0.1, and set the address of the mac computer to 192.168.0.2, or other addresses that are in the network section 192.168.0.*. Also set the default gateway of the mac computer to 192.168.0.1. If the issue persists, please temporary disable anti-virus and firewall on the Windows 7 computer. Considering that you may connect the two computers with a crossover cable, we cannot guarantee that it will work properly. If the above information does not help, I suggest that you purchase a router as a final solution. Using Crossover Cables in Home or Peer-to-Peer Networks Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
