Windows 7 Parental control: time limit problems
Hi, i was referred to here by the windows community site. my problems are relates to the time limits restriction on a standard user1. the account does not log off afterallowed time period ends2. the account cannot be used the moment 'switch user' happens, as how parental control works, but the account remained logged on for some reasonI am sure that i turned on parental control and this problem occured for several days, that means the computer has been restarted for parental control changes made applyNow can i know how should i deal with this problem to ensure thestandard account logs off when it reaches blocked time period?

I get the same problem. The computer was upgraded from Windows Vista. I don't get this problem on a computer with a clean install of Windows 7.

I just do not use it since i have the same issue and i have not found a decent reply. I have kids and the only way to make sure they stay away from Internet perils was to install this browser here which includes a powerful parental control . my issues are over. by ther way, it is for free of course.

The main problem with Windows 7 parental controls is that it is useless if your kids have administrative accounts. Unfortunately, our kids play many games that require administrator priveleges in order to run properly. With administrator rights they can simply turn off parental controls for their own account and play well into the wee hours of the morning. When this occurs during the school week it is very frustrating. I turned to the web and found one solution for our dilemma. It is a program called Time Monitor which has been a blessing for our family. It is the only program I found that my kids can't disable and I can schedule their time for only so many hours per day, not just the block of time they are allowed on. Perhaps this is what you are really looking for.
