Windows 7 Permisions Are Once Again Causing Problems
i am trying to install Acronis Backup and Recovery v10.0.11105 Workstation and i have two problems one is that one of services is not working and the otherwith installing managment console i get an error that perhaps i don't have enaf permisions to a registry key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID i'v tried to give my self permisions but with no luck and i don't want to let acronis create new account all i want is to create an image of windows now that i'v finally solved the problem with sleep and hibernation modes which was proboblly caused by old drivers of acronis 2009 or other old otherwindows versions drivers which i have disabled.so how can i fix this problem once and for all?10x in advance.one more problem i'v just encounter is with the command sc the services command if i run it via start run cmd i get sc is not recognized... even thatthe run line should have administrative permisions but if i search cmd file itself and open it with manager administrative it works well so basiclywindows 7 should really do something about all this problems.

I think you have this wrong. Acronis needs to make sure their installer follows the install rules set out by Microsoft. I suggest you look at the Acronis forum. There are other issues (BSOD) with that version (v10.0.11105) if you have a card reader installed.http://forum.acronis.com/en/forums/acronis-discussion-forums/acronis-backup-and-recovery-forum

I'm not sure what a privare user has to do with a card reader but I found that with Windows 7 the install works better if you choose the second option on the install screen and then install each component of Backup & recovery separately.
