Windows 7 Pro CD Key suddently invalid
Our company provided a workstation in Feb 2011. It was a brand new out of the box Asus EEE box, which came proloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium. Since we needed remote desktop, we purchased, downloaded, and upgraded the system to Windows 7 Pro. Everything
has been humming along fine until two weeks ago when the system is suddenly locked out due to an invalid CD key. Why would the CD key suddenly be no good, much less how do we fix it? I asked the user if any settings were changed or if any updates were installed,
and he said nothing has been done, the machine isnt even connected to the internet 99% of the time. Any ideas?

Hi,
Thanks for the post.
Please download the Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostic Tool to check the activation status, then post the result back.
Also, because this issue is related to license, so I strongly recommend to make a call to Microsoft support for assistance. This may be the better choice.
Thanks.
