Can i use windows 7 rc for business porposes(in a new IT company) and buy the licenses needed when it is finally released?Thanx a lot in advance HiUsing the RC is definitely not recommended to be used in a production environment. This is still a beta release and cannot be guaranteed to provide the dependability of a finished product. When the final (RTM) build is released, it will require a clean install or upgrade install from a version of Windows Vista. You will not be able to simply apply a purchased license to a beta build.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP

well you have a point, but you see i don't want to buy a vista license and in a few months another one for windows 7. that's the only reason for asking such a thing.thank you for instantly replying :)

Also, make sure you read the EULA (End User Licanse Agreement) for any possible restrictions, before making the decision. The EULA is located in the C:\Windows\System32\License.rtf file.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP
