Windows 7 SP1 Final - issues again... Hide/Unhide Partitions by itself.
2 weeks after installing Windows 7 SP1 clean install on my home computer this time, I encounter some strange issues with my partitions. First, 10 days ago I've noticed a new partition in Computer. When checking it - it was the System Reserved Partitionm wich has unhide itself... Ok, I fix it. Yesterday I've installed an update to PowerDVD - I was surprised that it did't made an icon on the desktp so I try to make it myself - Gues what ? 2 partition have dissapeared - including C !! Cannot make a shortcut to Program Files when Explorer shows only partition D... Strangely - everything works - install/uninstall software, and if using Total Commander I can see the missing partitions. But not in Computer or Windows Explorer... Ok, I fix it again, but it has became annoying... It's a bug or what ? Are there somebody else with similar issues ? I have no viruses or memory errors or whatever. Worked fine without SP1. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

Looks like CHKDSK might not help completely. Use that tool first, then insert your Windows DVD and boot form it and select repair. HDD has nothing. Checked. Memory nothing. Checked. Also Windows has only 2 weeks after clean install ( with HDD Format ), as I say. Worked perfect before SP1. All computer components are quite news - about 6 months. Also now works fine except that annoying thing. Anyway, since I post until now no more issues, but who knows. I belive if there was an hardware issue there were more issues. What I remember is that the first time the System Reserved partition show first I've just installed the WAIK to make a custom disc for 7 SP1. And it didn't dissapear after uninstalling. Only after mannually hidden in registry.
