Windows 7 Showing incorrect contents of shared archive.
This is the oddest thing I have ever seen. We use a Linux based NAS server which uses AD authentication via LDAP. In one of the shares, several Windows 7 Pro machines show the incorrect contents of zip files when accessing over the network. (Files from other archives.) If you copy the archive to the local machine, the archive contains the correct files. This only is occuring on a handful of Windows 7 Pro machines. Other Windows 7 Pro machines (like mine) show the contents just the way it should. This is not a security issue, as I am the Domain Admin and when I login and access the files from the same machines, I get the same result of incorrect contents when viewing the archive over the network. I've tried copying the file locally and then back to the share, with the same results. I have also tried a clean boot (but the networking services were disabled) and then re-enabling services and startup apps. I have also tried clearing mapped drives and re-creating them. My brain is starting to hurt trying to figure what went wrong here. UPDATE: I have found that the archives are showing incorrectly from the 2008 Standard Server from which these files originated as well.
