Windows 7 Tablet Connected Wirelessly to Airport Network But Not Internet
I have attempted all of the fixes located here: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itpronetworking/thread/c0c52150-098c-4c5f-b2f9-8b7170b6f69f ...to no avail. By entering the IPv4 address and DNS info I have "connected" to the "unidentified network" (WEP), however, I have no connection to the Internet. Per Arthur Li's recommendation, I have uploaded my system information here: http://cid-ac39dc8a9e13ab68.office.live.com/self.aspx/.Documents/cmfisher.zip Any help/ideas is TREMENDOUSLY appreciated!

Hi, Try to ues "ping" command to ping a pubic IP or DNS name to see whethter it can be rosolved. Please also try the following steps. 1. Manually assign a static IP address and DNS address on the machine for a test. 2. Modify the relevant security settings. a. Type "gpedit.msc" in Start menu, right click it and click "Run as administrator". b. Open Computer configuration -->Windows Settings -->Security Settings -->select Network list manager policies on the right Side you will see options for : Double click -->Unidentified networks Then you can select the option to consider the Unidentified networks as private and if user can change the location. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
