Windows 7 Ultimate Black Screen Mouse Cursor
March 2011. Windows 7 Ultimate, latest patches, fully up-to-date. I only recently finished building this new hot machine with tricked out SSD's and latest intel processors. Its been working great, fast. It has SP1 just recently installed and now it seems
to be screwed. I have tried EVERYTHING to get this black screen thing fixed. It boots up into a black screen, a mouse cursor that sometimes can be moved, sometimes not. CTRL-ALT-DEL does nothing, additional attached keyboards and the existing one seem to do
nothing. It just sits there an does nothing except the disk seems to be getting read every 5 secs or so. Otherwise I cant do anything. F8 Repair does NOTHING. I cant restore since I apparently have no restore points though I am pretty sure I set one up.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums.
Please unplug unnecessary external devices and try again.
Can you bring up the prompt with five System Recovery Options? If it does not appear, please insert your Windows 7 installation DVD to bring it out.
