Windows 7 Ultimate looses connectivity
I recently loaded Windows 7 Ultimate on an Asus Striker motherboard with dual nvidia network adapters. It connects to a Linksys Wireless G router, My network and the internet. This was a known good system working 100% on Vista Ultimate. When it feels like it I loose network connectivity. If I run the troubleshooter it finds nothing. If I run from Internet Explorer it resets the network adapter and returns a message that the default gateway was not available. This happens on both the internet and on the LAN.

I have seen issues from the dual network adapter drivers on various motherboards. Try disabling one in the BIOS (if you can) and see if that helps. You could also try disabling the "Let windows turn off.." power option in the properties of the network adapters. Email ASUS tech support and request if there will be Win 7 driver support for the motherboard.ASUS P4PE-P4 Extreme 3.4gHz-2gb G.Skill PC3200-XPSP3:55gb-Win7RC:17gb-DATA:500gb-ASUS N6800GT

Hi,
Please try the following to narrow down the issue:
1. Boot the system to Safe Mode with networking and see how it works.
2. Please check if there is a new version of the Windows 7 driver released. If so, please remove the current one and try the new one. You may also let us know model of the NIC, we will help you finding it.
Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT

Make sure IPv6 isn't enabled. I've found that Win7 had enabled IPv6 for some reason and that confused the system."Fear disturbs your concentration"
