Windows 7 Window Updates Fail
do you get an error code? should look like 0x????????

only notice they had failed when I look at the view update history. where can i get code from?

you can see the error code in the eventlog (winkey+r -> eventvwr.exe -> windows logs -> filter curent log -> source = WindowsUpdateClient)

Update for Rights Management Services Client for Windows 7 (KB979099)
Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile for Windows 7 x86 (KB982670)
Update for Windows 7 (KB979538)
Update for Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility View List for Windows 7 (KB2447568)
Update for Windows 7 (KB2502285)
Please advise?????

I have just checked the logs and there is nothing referencing to the above updates.

Hi,
to see the cause of Windows Vista or Windows 7 update failures, we must look for error messages in the file CBS.log.
Please run the Windows Explorer and go to the folder "C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\" and copy all files to your document folder (otherwise you can't upload it), zip all files into 1 ZIP and upload the zip to your SkyDrive [1] and post a link here.
