Windows 7 and Windows Server 2000
I have one windows 7 professional pc that I need to join to my windows 2000 server domain. I cannot get it done! On my server, it seems to add the computer, and I can access the mapped drive, but it does not create the administrator/domain name on the client workstation. It says there is a problem with the trusts. Anybody know what I should do??? thanks

The default NTLM authentication level is different in Windows 7. I suggest that you change the level to Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated Please refer: Network security: LAN Manager authentication levelMCSE, MCSA, MCDST

Please refer the following website to join the domain. Connect your computer to a domain For more information you can access: Windows 7 Features Domain join If the issue persists, please let us know if there is any error message when you try to join the domain. Also try to remove the computer from AD and try to join the domain again.Arthur Xie - MSFT
