Windows 7 and connection to database's on MS server 2003 with SQL 2005
I have recently replaced some XP computers with new Windows 7. The problem I am having is with some of our programs that have database's on a MS Server 2003 R2 Enterprise edition/with SQL 2005 worked just fine with the XP but with the win7 some parts of the program are fine and some seem to have slowed down considerably. (25 second delay compared to the XP) Both these programs are Access programs, one with an access database and the other is an SQL database on that server. and both these programs use a access runtime to connect with the database's one of them uses access runtime 2000 and one access runtime 2002. Is there a magic setting i'm missing? or is it time to contact the program developers? Thanks PJ

Based on your description, I suggest you use the Network Monitor to capture the network traces on both Windows XP and Windows 7 clients, then compare the traces so if there's any clue. Regards, MiyaMiya Yao TechNet Community Support
