Windows 7 as Time Server
Hello, I'm working on an embedded software project that sends out SNTP requests. It's on a small test network -- because of the high volume of traffic it cannot be placed on the company network. I need my machine (Windows 7 Pro) to be able to serve time to this network. How can I set up my Windows 7 machine to do this? Thanks

I figured it out. I did the following: 1.) Open the Group Policy Editor 2.) Click Computer Configuration , click Administrative Templates , click System , and then click Windows Time Service . 3.) Click Time Providers , double-click Enable Windows NTP Server in the right pane, click the Enabled button, and then click OK . 4.) From the Group Policy Object Editor menu, click File , and then click Exit . (Instructions adapted from: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg398829.aspx .)
