Windows 7 boot up problems.
I had built a computer about a month ago now. I installed the Windows 7 trial thing. its ran fine until yesterday. It booted properly. after logging in it gave an error message saying it needed to resart for a reason i have forgotten. it took serveral reboots to run properly. but it ran fine after that. today i started it up once booted fine ran fine did everything normal. powered machine off, came back a few hours later press the power button. shows "starting windows" does the little animation of the windows logo blinks a few times quicly then the screen goes completely black with just the mouse showing. the mouse can move but no other features work including ctrl+alt+del. any suggestions?

Hi, Did you install any update/software before this issue happening. Are you able to boot into Safe mode? If so, try System Restore as below: System Restore ============= 1. Click the Start Button, type "system restore" (without quotations) in the start search box and press enter. 2. Click "Choose a different point" and click next. 3. Check Show more restore points" 4. Choose a date before this issue happening, and click Next. 5. Click Finish. If it does not work, try Startup Repair: Startup Repair ============ 1. Keep pressing F8 upon restarting, choose "Repair your computer". 2. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click Startup Repair. You can also try system restore in the System Recovery Options.Vivian Xing - MSFT
