Windows 7 cant recognize my Windows XP computer
So here the problem i did everything on the windows computer set up network named it WORKGROUP put it as other computers have there own hub and created network. On windows 7 i made it the home on connection and followed everything on the set up video windows
provided. Now windows 7 cant recognize my XP computer on network map but my windows xp computer recognizes my windows 7 laptop . I checked my firewall settings on windows and allowed norton internet security to let my xp pc to be trusted
but still nothing.... one thing my windows 7 laptop dint have in the video is the network id but when ever i connect something else like my ps3 it showed that on the map. So its confusing that my windows pc sees my windows 7 laptop but not the other
way around.

Hi, thank you for posting here.
Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following:
1.
Please check if you can access the Windows XP share folder with “\\computer name\folder”
or “\\IP Address\ folder”.
2.
Temporarily disable or remove all the security software (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc.) on the Windows XP computer and check if it works then.
3.
If you have enabled simple file sharing on Windows XP computer, please check if Guest account has also been enabled; you can also disable the simple file
sharing and reconfigure the sharing on the Windows XP computer with the following Knowledge Base:
How to disable
simple file sharing and how to set permissions on a shared folder in Windows XP
Furthermore, please make sure the KB
KB922120 has install on your Windows XP, you can download it on:
