Windows 7 client cannot enroll certificate from Windows 2000 CA
Hi,
I'm trying to enroll a computer certificate for a Windows 7 machine joined to an active directory domain. Unfortunately there is only one domain CA and it is (still) running Windows 2000 (this unfortunately will not change in the foreseeable future). I'm
attempting to enroll the certificate through the Certificates MMC snap-in's "Request New Certificate" feature. Unfortunately the enrollment fails with the error: "You cannot request a certificate this time because no certificate types are available". Note
however that computers running older versions of Windows can enroll certificates without problems.
Would appreciate any insight.
