I have noticed that windows 7 puts the computer to sleep at the defined time (in power settings) regardless of if there are any active applications/processes running. these processes then resume when i wake up the computer. In vista or XP i notice if there is an active process (like a download or a simulation) running then the computer does not sleep until the process is done. any ideas ?
