Windows 7 hangs after login; stuck on Welcome screen
I have a new computer installed with Windows 7 Home Premium N (32-bits). It works for months but is now suddenly dead in the water. In normal boot or boot from safe mode, after logging in, the computer will hang in the welcome screen. There is no activity visible whatsoever. I have tried to repair from the install DVD, restore to previous configuration, etc, nothing works. The worst thing is I cannot reach to even log to determine what's wrong. Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi Cyberia0083, First, unplug all unnecessary hard devices from the computer to check the result. Also, try Last Known Good Configuration and see if the issue can be resolved. If the issue persists, you can perform a Startup Repair. Besides, you can try other repair options to repair Windows 7. For more information, please refer to: What are the system recovery options in Windows 7? Hope this helps.
