Hi, I am considering ways of application deployment and licensing with regards to a Windows 7 operating system. I'm looking at ways that may be possible to distribute a Microsoft Windows virtual appliance (such as a VMWare image, a VirtuaBox image or a VirtuaPC image) pre-configured and installed with a large application. Is this at all possible? If the pre-configuration is a problem, would I perhaps be able to distribute an image which is not activated yet (i.e. at sysprep level). Kind regards, Nik

I am very curious about this as well. Is it possible to create a virtual appliance which has not yet been activated which will allow potential customers try out a particular configuration and if they like it purchase a Windows 7 license and activate the appliance? Thanks, Justin
