Windows 7 maintaining old domain password
I changed my domain password on an XP system (the one I use for day to day work). I rebooted the system to do some more work in Windows7 but found it would not accept my new password.I was able to logon with my previous domain password but naturally had no access to domain services. Tried changing my password again in Win7 but that didn't work (as expected).Has anyone else experience this? If so, how does this get corrected?I'm using build 7100 (RC)

Have you checked connectivity to the Domain Controllers from the Windows 7 client? It seems you are now logged on with cached credentials, which still contain the old password. I order to fix this, your Windows 7 client must first be able to logon to the domain on the system level. You can ping the DNS name of the domain from the Command Prompt or use NSLookup to check domain connectivity. If there are issues entering the domain you will also notice a couple of error/warning events in the system log.Ray
