Windows 7 messenger no actions
Me: Windows 7 Premium with Windows Live Messenger.
Friend: Windows XP with MSN Messenger and Windows 7 Home with WLM.
When Friend is running XP+MSNM, my Win7+WLM shows a whole set of actions like send file, etc.
When Friend uses the same account on Win7+WLM, I get no actions. We can't exchange files, pictures, or anything. I can't offer remote assistance, and we are having a devil of a time getting remote assistance requests exchanged.
I've tried local group policy editor, doesn't seem to help. I'm guessing it's something mis-configured on my friend's system, since all that changes is which machine she uses.

Hi,
According to your description, I suggest to perform these tests to troubleshoot the issue:
1 Login in with
Clean Boot
2 Disable firewall
If the issue persists, since it related with Windows Live Messenger, I suggest to ask
Windows Live Solution Center
for further help.
Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,
