I have already clicked "Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar" and "Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu" but nothing is shown in the start menu. Configuration: Windows 7 Professional + Office 2007 Professional Anyone have idea? Thanks a lot!!

Right click the flag in the notification area and select troubleshoot problems. Choose system and security and run it. Something corrupted your user profile. You can test by creating a new account and test the recent items behavior before attempting a repair. You can also boot from the installation dvd and run the repair. Be sure that you have updated office 2007 completely.
