Try reading this forum post and see if the recommendations within it (for Vista, but should work just the same) works for you. http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistarepair/thread/a69f7aa8-3700-4d54-983b-59a64e6fd1c5MCSE, MCSA, MCDST

I read this recommendation, I was able to make a part BackUp without a System Image. I am missing the BackUp of the System Image and a simple full BackUp, as this bug, the Librariesare doing should be fastly resolved by Microsoft in Win 7.

Hi, What error were found? Are they fixed? I suggest running Check disk in WinRE again: 1. Keep pressing F8 upon restarting. 2. When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, select "Repair your computer". 3. When the System Recovery Options dialog box appears, click on Command Prompt. 4. Type the following command in the opening window and press Enter. Chkdsk /f /r If the issue persists, would you explain the following error in English? Beschreibung:Fehler bei der um 2009-12-06T16:06:17.842749900Z gestarteten Sicherung. Fehlercode: "2155348269" (Vorgangsfehler aufgrund eines Gertefehlers an Quelle oder Ziel. Hi Vivian,Sorry that i couldn't answer earlier, but i was at a seminar and just returned today.I tried to execute the commands you proposed and when i clicked the chkdsk /f /r command, i got back windows cant run the disk checking on this volume because it is write protected. So I changed the command and checked C. CHKDSK C: /f /rThis is still running and i will let you know the outcome in some hours to come. Thanks for your assistance.P.S.:The failure description translated from the above:Description:Failure at the BackUp started 2009-12-06T16:06:17.842749900Z. Failure code:"2155348269" ( Failure because of a device fault at the source or the target. If the source or target volume is on a disk, make a chkdsk /r on the source or target volume and repeat the bachup. Search in the event protocol for a solution and restart the backup, when the problem is resolved.Peter

Hi Vivian,I was just ablefor the firts time to make a system image backup from my drive C.Many thanks for your assistance. It was for me very informative, that you proposed to make the chkdsk from the X - windows partition. That was the way, the check disk progam could find disk faults. I did this many times as an administrator from within windows and that didnt help.I appreciate very much your profound advise.ThanksPeter
