Dear Linda,
Thanks for your input. I have tried this procedure many times and I retired it at your suggestion. Currently, I am LAN connected between the two (2) PCs, a Windows 7 Host and an XP SP3 Client, with file and print sharing established with
solid communication between the two units; however I am unable to share the internet connection. The Windows 7 Host is cable connected to a modem supplied by Cablevision (Optmum Online) with full internet capability. When I go to the Client
and open IE8 I get error 12007. I have tried this many times with all different configurations and always the same error message. I can go wireless from the Client and connect to the internet while still connected the LAN. This is through
an unsecured open wireless network, so I know that the IE8 is working. I have checked the device manager and all components are working and enabled. I have checked the Firewall, anti-virus, and other sercurity issues and have tired with and without
them with no change.
Please take another look at this problem - I am using a crossover cable between the two PCs.
Thanks for you kind help and ccoperation.
