Windows 7 starter to Home premium, intel graphics stopped responding
I have a netbook that had Win7 starter, then I upgraded to home premium. After I did this the following error pops up: "Display driver Intel graphics acceletator drivers for windows vista stopped responding and has successfully recovered" this happens after the netbook turns off the screen to save power, I have narrowed it down to only when my taskbar is set to auto-hide. My first question is why have accelerator drivers for vista on win 7? the second is: Is there something I can do to fix this? I looked at my drivers and they are all up to date, the video driver has the intel 945 chipset

Try installing the Win7 drivers? http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProdId=2102&DwnldID=18231&lang=eng The Starter version doesn't support AeroGlass, so it may want different drivers than the more fully featured versions.

It could that the graphics chip in use is not able to support shader 2 properly. The 945 is a widely used chipset and the inegrated graphics are rather limited. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! IT/Developer, Windows/Linux/Mainframe Need a some parts finish the new server, see the site for remaining items needed

I had a 945 chipset on my hp pavillion and it handled all aspects of aero. It will give you a low hardware assesment score but should be fully funcftional. Rollback your current driver and install the most recent version from the intell website.
