Windows 7 stops responding on right click
Every third or fourth time I right click a file, the system freezes and cannot be fixed without killing power. As I have to kill the power, I'm unable to get an error message. I only today started having this issue (I've been running the OS for almost 3 weeks now) but it's been consistently happening all day. Any ideas what the issue might be?

Hi, It might be the driver of your mouse. Do you update all the drivers of your PC, in compatibility mode for the last OS you ran fine. You should read the thread What can I do if my hardware does not work? Or redo a clean install of Windows 7

Hi, Does the issue occur in Safe Mode or Clean Boot? For your reference: Clean Boot ======== 1. Click Start, type "MSCONFIG" (without the quotations) in the Search Bar and Press "Enter" to start the System Configuration Utility. 2. Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray). 3. Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". 4. Restart the computer and test the issue. Note: Clean Boot is a troubleshooting step. If some programs have been disabled, we can re-enable them later. If you see the System Configuration Utility, check the box of "Don't show this message" and then click "OK". Please test this issue in the Clean Boot environment, if the issue disappears, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issue. Hope it helps.
